A remake of Siccîn (2014)
Narrative
A young woman who uses black magic to threaten her cousin’s wife. An adaptation of the Turkish horror film Siccîn (2014). Before the film begins, there is a short trailer for Pemukiman Setan (2023).
First, there was a scene that realistically depicted black magic, which was effectively done
I recently watched the film "Sijjin" and unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations in terms of horror. Despite being categorized as a horror film, it lacked the thrills and scares I had hoped for. One of the few positive aspects of the film was the inclusion of a couple of memorable scenes.
However, the weak and predictable plot was a major drawback
Also, a group of white ladies wearing telekom costumes were shown in the basement, a unique and previously unseen concept. These scenes were commendable and managed to stand out among the overall disappointment of the film. The lack of originality and depth in the plot made it easy to predict what would happen next, which reduced the tension and excitement.
The film lacked a compelling story, had predictable twists, and the acting was mediocre
In addition, the performances of some of the actors were lacking, which failed to elevate the film to a higher level. Overall, "Sijjin" failed to deliver on its promise of being a truly terrifying experience. If you are looking for a truly terrifying horror film, this one probably won’t live up to your expectations.
