The novel is set in 1963 and involves an assassination attempt on then-French President Charles de Gaulle
Narrative
The Jackal is an invisible assassin who makes his living by making high-priced hits. He soon meets his match in the form of a tough British intelligence officer who follows him on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.
A remake of The Day of the Jackal (1973)
The show moves the setting to the present day. If you title a series "Jackal" then you also have to give it a little determination and quality.
The budget was definitely there
That’s the case here for the first 20 minutes, but then (as is often the case) it gets going hard. The set design is good.
But the script is bad, often stupid
The camerawork is okay, without much artificial shake, but there are a lot of blurs. That "Jackal" It simply doesn’t look right here, they should have called it "The Day of the Auto Bomber" It’s not worth the transfer..
