Narrative
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands a high-profile job for which she is ill-suited, with tectonic implications for her marriage and political future. The British governments allowed them to use real-life settings as filming locations for the series, including the still-new American embassy (in Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.
The only unavailable location was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador
Britain allowed filming inside the foreign secretary’s office, a space rarely given the honor for any film or movie production, especially an American one. Although accurately described as occupying the largest parcel of residential land (11 acres) in London apart from Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming.

This was so good that I binged all 8 episodes and started screaming at the TV in frustration when the last one ended. I would have happily sat back and watched another 8 episodes.
This is original, clever, and very, very well done
One of those rare gems where every character in the quality cast has a well-developed personality, where you can follow every plot twist, even the most complex one. ~~~~ That’s all I want to say, but apparently I have to type 600 characters, which seems to be a lot of fun at this time of night, especially after 8 straight hours of wonderful television, when I really want to go get some sleep.
