This was Colman Domingo’s first major television role
Narrative
Media whiz Muncie Daniels must fight for her innocence and her life after stumbling upon a murder deep in the Poconos.
As a fan of binge-worthy murder mystery limited series, I was hooked on the concept
The show had an interesting premise and a lot of early promise, but it lost its way along the way.
However, it felt like it was originally written to be a multi-season show, but was cut short to an eight-episode miniseries
The result was an overstuffed story with multiple subplots and undeveloped characters that were only loosely connected to the main plot.
Each subplot had potential, but was cut short, leaving the story empty and confusing
It was as if all the right ingredients for a 5-star meal were there, but the chef didn’t have the time and just threw it all together and served it.
The ending was particularly impressive—not exactly bad, just disappointingly dull
It failed to evoke strong emotions, good or bad, because there was little to connect with.
